Now that’s changed – today more and more people are looking for services, products and information on the web every hour of every day and it is now at the stage where we wonder what we ever did without them.
So, you want a website for your business, but you’re not sure how to go about getting one and what’s involved. To get you started, most businesses require no more than 3 or 4 pages that will tell the rest of the world who you are, what you have to offer and how to get in touch, either by phone, fax, or email.
You can always increase the number of pages on your website at a later date or add an online shop at a later date.

Design of your website
We can offer you many design choices for your site. We have a dedicated team who will listen to your needs and help you make the right design choice. Our copy editors will write your text, and out technical team will make it work.
A name for your website
This can and usually is the name of your business and it is called your domain name. It works rather like an address or phone number – it is uniquely yours. It will be something like www.yourname.co.uk
Photos
It is said, that a picture paints a 1000 words and it is most definitely true, particularly for websites. If you don’t have any pictures to add to your site we can arrange to take some for you, but a charge will be incurred for this. In general, most businesses have brochures or photos readily available that we can use on the website. Maybe you would like to include pictures, of your staff or photos of the business, you decide and we will ensure they look great on your site.
Submission to search engines
You have probably heard of Yahoo, MSN, Google and AOL, to name just a few. Well these are search engines (rather like a library) and we will make sure your website is submitted to the majority, that way everyone will know where to find your website (like a book).
The above are all covered by our subsidy, but just so there are no surprises you need to be aware that you need to pay a hosting and maintenance fee. Everyone big or small has to pay a hosting charge to be visible on the internet, but even this is subsidised by the us
Once you have your website it is important to have it maintained in good condition and up to date, after all, it is a reflection of you and your business and should look professional at all times, possibly even reflecting the seasons. Any changes you want to make are all included in the hosting and maintenance package. You can make unlimited minor changes and up to six major website changes every year. Of course we will use the same hosting as our national site Tourist Information Centres.com as they are extremely reliable and efficient.
